Outreach & Harm Reduction

  • Outreach & Harm Reduction

Lyon-Martin Community Health Services' Outreach & Harm Reduction program targets those working in criminalized economies such as sex work or drug trade or those impacted by homelessness. The team uses a mobile clinic to provide STI testing, distribute life-saving harm reduction and survival supplies, provide health education, and link to health services, meeting people where they’re at - on the street, in encampments, shelters, SROs, strip clubs, bars, and community events.

During late-night outreach shifts from 10 PM to 2 AM, our team provides:
✔ Harm reduction kits with sterile syringes & needles, Narcan & fentanyl test strips, and more.
✔ Safer sex, hygiene, and first aid supplies
✔ Free STI testing and reproductive health education
✔ Connections to Lyon-Martin’s primary care, gender-affirming care, substance use treatment, and mental health services

People can access free harm reduction supplies anytime during clinic hours by visiting the outreach office off the waiting room. We also host a Tuesday night drop-in from 5-7 PM in the waiting room for additional support and resources.

Through street-based outreach, education, and advocacy, we strive to reduce harm, promote health equity, and support our communities with dignity and respect.

If you would like Lyon-Martin’s outreach team to provide supplies or testing at your event, please contact us!
